Overview

At Pantrackr, we take your privacy seriously. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Pantrackr app for iPhone and iPad and when you visit our website, pantrackr.com.

Data Storage

All your pantry data, including items, quantities, tags, expiration dates, and your shopping list, is stored on your device. Pantrackr has no accounts and no servers of its own, so we never receive or store your pantry data.

The Pantrackr app does not:

• Collect any personal information
• Require user registration or accounts
• Send your pantry data to our servers or to third parties
• Include advertising, analytics, or tracking software

Apple Reminders Sync

Pantrackr Premium includes an optional feature that syncs your inventory and shopping list to lists in the Apple Reminders app. This feature is off until you turn it on in Settings.

When sync is on, your items are saved as reminders in your Apple account. Apple stores and syncs them through iCloud according to Apple's Privacy Policy. If you share those Reminders lists with other people, they can see and edit the items in them. We do not have access to your Reminders data.

You can turn sync off at any time in Pantrackr's settings. Lists that were already created stay in the Reminders app until you delete them there.

Sharing and Exporting

Shopping list links

When you share your shopping list, Pantrackr creates a link that contains the item names and quantities. Anyone you send the link to can see those items. Opening the link visits a page on pantrackr.com that hands the list to the Pantrackr app. The list is carried inside the link itself; we do not store it, and our website analytics do not record the list contents.

Import and export

Exported files are created on your device, and you decide where to save or send them. Pantrackr does not upload them anywhere.

Permissions

Pantrackr asks for the following permissions only when you use a feature that needs them:

Notifications

The app requests access to send you notifications so it can alert you about:

• Items approaching their expiration date
• Low stock levels for your pantry items

These notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers.

Reminders

If you turn on Apple Reminders sync, the app requests access to your reminders so it can create and update its own pantry and shopping lists. Pantrackr looks up your list names to find its own lists, and only reads or changes the reminders inside the lists it uses for your pantry and shopping list. It does not read or change your other reminders.

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Pantrackr offers an optional Premium subscription, available monthly or yearly, that includes:

• Unlimited products and tags
• The shopping list
• Expiration tracking and notifications
• Apple Reminders sync and sharing
• Dark mode and color themes

All subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store payment system. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. Apple handles all payment processing, and you can manage your subscriptions through your App Store account settings.

Subscription status is checked on your device through the App Store. We do not transmit or store any purchase or subscription data on our own servers.

Our Website

Our website, pantrackr.com, uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived, and general device, browser, and approximate location information. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. It is processed by Google according to Google's Privacy Policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Like most websites, our hosting provider may also keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and requested pages, for security and reliability.

The website analytics are separate from the Pantrackr app. The app itself does not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service.

Data Security

Your pantry data is protected by your device's security features and, if you use Reminders sync, by your Apple account. We recommend:

• Keeping your device updated with the latest security patches
• Using device-level security features like passcodes or biometric authentication
• Backing up your device regularly, or using Pantrackr's export feature, if you want to preserve your pantry data

Children's Privacy

The Pantrackr app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Our website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
